The most idyllic setting to celebrate our wedding.
Gisburne Park is a picturesque landscape, hidden in the centre of Ribble Valley. If nature is your church this is the perfect place.
We had the venue for three nights, which gave us time to reflect on the days to come, just the two of us. We took full advantage of the hot tub and the stunning Riverside House was the perfect base for our wedding party to meet and discuss logistics.
The evening before we held our rehearsal dinner in Hindelinis in Ribblesdale Park, which was ideal for guests staying nearby to join us for some delicious food and build excitement.
On the day, our guests were surrounded by trees and dappled sunlight during our ceremony, with the calming sounds of the river flowing in the background. There are ample grounds for guests to explore and take pictures, and the bridge in the centre provided a link between our ceremony space and the Tipi’s where our wedding breakfast was held.
Our guests and groomsmen thoroughly enjoyed their stay at The Stables and Ribblesdale Park. We had a BBQ at The Stables the next day to recount the day with close friends and family and took the little ones (flower girl and page boy) for a swim, they loved every minute.
Finally, the staff at Gisburne Park were incredible, they were waiting on hand to help with any issues or requests. Leading up to the big day, Steph our wedding co-ordinator was always one step ahead of us, meaning we could worry about our vows while she and the Betty’s Tipi’s team focused on logistics. By the end of the weekend the team felt more like old friends who we wanted there as guests rather than staff.
